Rio Ferdinand recommends Manchester United sign Wilfred Ndidi

Manchester United icon, Rio Ferdinand has recommended Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi as a prospective signing for his former club, Manchester United.

Manchester United have reportedly added Aston Villa's Jack Grealish and Leicester's James Maddison as potential reinforcements this summer but Ferdinand, a successful defender during his time at Manchester United has advised manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to add Leicester's City Ndidi, Thomas Partey and Saul to his transfer wishlist.

The Nigeria international recently stated that he's committed to Leicester despite speculation linking him with moves to Manchester United, Barcelona and Arsenal.

Despite struggling with a knee injury, Ndidi has made 29 appearances in all competitions this season.

"I’d maybe go get Partey from Atletico Madrid or Ndidi from Leicester," Ferdinand said on The Beautiful Game Podcast on Tuesday.

"I like Saul Niguez. He’s a very, very good player in midfield."
